The roof orientation describes which direction a roof on which solar modules are to be installed faces. In addition to shading and the roof pitch, it is very important for the yield of a solar system. Orientation of a balcony power plant or solar to the south is preferable, followed by west/east directions and it is less suitable to align modules to the north.
