A balcony power plant is a solar module (or several modules) that feeds electricity directly into the socket. A balcony power plant usually consists of the components solar module, inverter, cable for the socket connection and mounting material. In contrast to the photovoltaic system, the balcony power plant can be set up by private individuals. Today the legal framework is in place and every citizen, regardless of whether they are a tenant, landlord or homeowner, can operate a balcony power plant . Other names that are used synonymously for the balcony power plant are guerrilla PV, mini PV, plug & play solar module, solar module for the socket.
