Degradation describes the loss of performance of photovoltaic modules. The drop in performance is a completely normal process of photovoltaic technology and not a planned obscenity. Solar modules lose some of their performance over their lifespan of at least 25 to 30 years.

Therefore, when purchasing PV modules, pay attention to the manufacturer's performance guarantee or performance guarantee. E.g. 10 years / 90% or 25 years / 80%. This means that after 10 years it still has 90% of the initial nominal power or after 25 years it still has at least 80 percent of the initial nominal power.
